The way we work

The Conference promotes mutual understanding among European Justice and Peace commissions and thus creates the prerequisites for a successful European cooperation. 

By promoting exchange between the European commissions, the Conference contributes to advance multilateral cooperation among the commissions. The Conference encourages the commissions to intensify their transnational and transregional cooperation and invites them to inform the other Conference members of their respective activities. 

The Members of the Conference meet every year for an International Workshop and a General Assembly. The GA discusses and adopts recommendations, resolutions and declarations, and decides on joint activities and concerted actions on one particular issue. on the base of an agreed position all commissions act in their particular national contexts. 

The members of the European Conference are bound by ties of mutual solidarity. By their joint activities, they bear witness to the shared hope for a just world and a united Europe.
