Short historical revue of the Commission The founding members of the Greek Justice and Peace Commission, were Bishop Anargyros Printezis and Father Andreas Voutsinos, also responsible for many others functions in Athens and the surrounding Attica area. The successor of Bishop Anargyros was Bishop Dimitrios Salachas and, after him, Bishop Manuel Nin ( all Exarchs of the Greek Catholics ).Father Andreas is former Vice President and Director of Caritas Athens, as well as parish priest for 50 years in Athens parishes. Mr. Nikos Voutsinos is former Chairman of the Caritas Athens – Refugee Programme. However, we should stress that not only our contribution is limited in terms of time. We also have limited financial resources. Whatever we do, we do it with volunteers's limited time. | ||
Work priorities: | Publishing 2 articles per week making emphasis on the presence of the Catholic Church 's Social teaching in Greece (where we are a small minority) and in the world, emphasizing in human rights, and all related issues. - Translating and publishing all the documents of Justice and Peace Europe, articles from Zenit and Pope Francis. |
